On May 9, millions of people in China’s Beijing stayed home as the city struggles to cope up with the rising cases of Covid-19. As reported by AFP, Beijing residents are fearing that they may soon have to face the same draconian rules that have trapped most of Shanghai's 25 million people at their houses for many weeks now. On May 7, Beijing authorities launched another round of mass testing. Reportedly, more metro stations and buses have been shut. Reports suggest that Chaoyang district in Beijing has become the epicenter of the virus. Beijing has reported hundreds of infections in recent weeks.
