Rains battered many North Indian states including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir & Punjab on July 9. Heavy rainfall caused landslides, water-logging, washed away roads, vehicles, homes and shops. Incessant rains led to water-logging and traffic congestion in Delhi. Many people took to social media to share videos of the water-logged roads and wrote, “City of lakes”. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal declared holiday for schools in the national capital on July 10. Atishi, the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister, has been inspecting flooded roads in the national capital. Watch the video to know more.
