Demonetisation: Supreme Court Upholds Centre’s November 8, 2016 Decision On Note Ban

On January 2, the Supreme Court of India upheld the decision of the Central government taken in 2016 as regards demonetisation. SC upheld the decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government to demonetise the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denominations.
