Diwali 2022: US President Joe Biden Hosts White House’s Biggest Ever Deepavali Celebration

On October 24, White House hosted the biggest Diwali reception ever. Many Indian Americans from the Joe Biden administration were present for the celebrations. First Lady Jill Biden and US Vice President Kamala Harris were also present. Biden said, “We are honoured to host you. This is the first Diwali reception of this scale in the White House ever to be held.” The US President tweeted a picture of himself lighting the diyas and said, “Diwali is a reminder that each of us has the power to dispel darkness and bring light to the world.” Watch the video to know more.
