Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on February 27 said that any person found guilty of participating in mob violence should be given strict punishment. He further added that the punishment should be doubled if they are from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said, “Any person, be it from AAP or BJP or Congress, who is found guilty should be given stringent punishment. If any Aam Aadmi Party person is found guilty then that person should be given double the punishment.” Aam Aadmi Party councilor, Tahir Hussain was suspended by the party on February 27. This comes after Hussain was charged with the death of Intelligence Bureau (IB) official, Ankit Sharma. Hussain has been booked under section 302 IPC (Punishment for murder).
