Israeli authorities have demolished a number of Palestinian homes it considered illegal south of Jerusalem. Police and military sealed off buildings in the Sur Baher area close to the Israeli security barrier cutting off the occupied West Bank. While Israeli authorities claimed Palestinians of making their own law by constructing buildings, Palestinians accused Israel of using security to force them out of the area.
