Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kurup has landed in legal trouble. A case has been filed in the Kerala High Court against the film. The Dulquer Salmaan movie released in theatres on November 12. PIL has been filed by a Kochi resident. The complainant said that the film may infringe the privacy of notorious criminal, Sukumara Krup, on whom the movie is based. Kerala High Court has issued notices to the Interpol and film producers, Central government and the state government. Kerala HC has not issued a stay order on the movie. Kurup, a crime saga, narrates the story of a conman who murdered a person named Chacko in 1984. Then he used the corpse to later fake his own death in order to claim insurance money. Salmaan plays Sukumar Kurup, who is one of the country’s most wanted criminals. Watch the video to know more.
