Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22 to promote environmental protection. Earth Day was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson and the first Earth Day was observed in 1970. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. World Earth Day 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the event. It creates awareness about the problems of air, water, and soil pollution and our responsibility as humans to tackle it.
