Facebook Announces Company Name Change To 'Meta' As It Hosts Metaverse Vision Inspired Virtual Reality Event

On October 28, Facebook changed its company name to "Meta". This comes after a series of negative stories about Facebook, based on documents were leaked by an ex-employee. "I am proud to announce that starting today, our company is now Meta,” Zuckerberg said. “metaverse" is an online world where people can game, work and communicate in a virtual environment, often using VR headsets. In 2015, Google rebranded itself as Alphabet, however, the name has not caught on. Watch the video to know more.
