After President Trump's announcement, social media was flooded with posts that claim the US aircraft used Indian airspace to conduct the airstrikes. However, PIB Fact Check, a fact-checking unit of the Indian government, debunked the viral claim. On X, PIB Fact Check wrote: "This claim is FAKE. Indian Airspace was NOT used by the United States during Operation Midnight Hammer." The fact-checking unit also underlined that General Dan Caine, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair, revealed the route used by US aircraft and India was not part of it.
