Mandatory toll plaza payment through the FASTag system comes into force from February 15 and those who don’t install one in their vehicles will be paying twice the fee. The government has ordered a full migration to the automatic toll plaza payment system and said all fee lanes in toll plaza across National Highways will now be able to read the tags. "Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has decided that all lanes in the fee plazas on National Highways shall be declared as FASTag lane of the fee plaza w.e.f midnight of 15th/16th February 2021.”
