Gautam Adani Is One Of World's Top 20 Billionaires, With Most Wealth Amassed In 2020

Gautam Adani is now one of the world’s top 20 billionaires. The Indian businessman has entered the top 20 list of world’s billionaires, as per Forbes. He runs the Adani group of industries, which is spread across mines, ports and power plants, airports, data centres & defence. Gautam Adani, Indian billionaire industrialist, has added more billions to his wealth, making him the biggest wealth gainer this year. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani's net worth jumped $16.2 billion in 2021 to $50 billion. He has beaten Jeff Bezos & Elon Musk. Reports inform that the shares of almost all Adani group stocks have rallied at least 50% this year. Meanwhile, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani reclaimed the top spot in the Forbes list of India's 10 richest billionaires, which was announced on April 6, with a net worth of $84.5 billion. Ambani was followed by Adani Group chief Gautam Adani and HCL founder Shiv Nadar. Put together, the three richest Indians added just over $100 billion, as per Forbes. Forbes also said that the total number of Indian billionaires rose to 140 this year from 102 last year and their combined wealth nearly doubled to $596 billion.
