Girish Karnad, Veteran Actor, Filmmaker and Playwright Passes Away at 81

Girish Karnad, noted actor, filmmaker and playwright passed away in Benguluru after prolonged illness. He was 81. He is known for his performances in movies like Manthan, Pukar, Iqbal, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. He was a famous playwright as well. He has been conferred with Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and other awards.
