Given the rapid pace at which the natural resources are being used presently, it is not too far when we will be left with nothing much, say scientists. Therefore, in order to raise awareness about such issues and promote the concept and practice of recycling, Global Recycling Day is observed. The annual event sees environmentalists and activists from all corners of the world participate in seminars, workshops and events to highlight the importance of recycling and its benefits.
