Shardiya Navratri is the most popular Navratri celebrated for nine nights on a grand scale in India. Navratri will begin on September 26, 2022, and end with Dussehra celebrations on October 5. It is believed that Goddess Durga was created as 'Shakti' on Mahalaya, which falls one day before the Navratri starts, to save all the gods and defeat the demon Mahishasura. Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshipped during the nine nights and the celebrations culminate with Dussehra or Vijayadashami.
