Hardik Patel Leaves Congress, Takes Swipe At Top Leadership

On May 18, Hardik Patel quit the Congress Party. The Gujarat leader was welcomed into the party by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in 2019. This is not good news for the Congress as Gujarat is scheduled for elections later this year. Hardik Patel’s resignation letter to party President Sonia Gandhi attacked Rahul Gandhi. In his resignation letter, Patel wrote that top leaders were distracted by their mobile phones & that the Gujarat Congress was more interested in ensuring chicken sandwiches for the top leaders. Hardik Patel also said, “Our leader was abroad when he was needed in India during critical times.” Watch the video to know more.
