IAF Jaguar Aircraft Drops Fuel Tanks and Carrier Bomb Light Stores Pods After Bird Hit: Watch Video

An IAF Jaguar aircraft suffered a dangerous bird hit soon after take off in Ambala. The aircraft was loaded with two additional fuel drop tanks and Carrier Bomb Light Stores (CBLS) pods as it took off from Air Force Station Ambala for a training mission. Immediately after takeoff, the aircraft encountered a flock of birds. The bird hit resulted in failure of one of the Jaguar aircraft's engines. Despite the emergencies staring in his face, the young IAF pilot assessed the situation in seconds, jettisoned two additional fuel drop tanks and CBLS Pods as per Standard Operating Procedure and safely landed the aircraft.
