Indore Temple Stepwell Collapse: 35 Killed As Floor Collapses; PM Modi Expresses Grief

On March 30, at least 35 people were killed after the roof of a stepwell collapsed at a temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, the stepwell roof collapsed due to the weight of the large crowd. People had gathered in large numbers for Ram Navami celebrations. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to the families of the victims and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Extremely pained by the mishap in Indore.” Watch the video to know more.
