On September 23, nominations for the International Emmy Awards, 2021 were announced. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his role in Serious Men. It is a satirical drama film based on Manu Joseph's book of the same name. Actor-comedian Vir Das has fetched a nomination in the Comedy category for his special show Vir Das: For India. And Sushmita Sen-led crime drama web series Aarya has been nominated in the Best Drama Series category.
