Monsoon fury has upended lives in the coastal districts of Karnataka with multiple reports of waterlogging, and landslides. A compound wall of MITE engineering college at Moodbidri near Mangaluru collapsed due to heavy rain but no injuries were reported. The districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Belagavi, Hubballi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru and others have been affected with rescue and relief work being co-ordinated by the state government.
