On March 3, Supreme Court of India turned down aĀ pleaĀ to immediately list an appealĀ seekingĀ permissionĀ to allow students toĀ appearĀ in annual examinationsĀ inĀ Karnataka's pre-university colleges with theirĀ headĀ scarf, reported IANS. The matter was mentioned before the bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud by a woman lawyer. She mentioned thatĀ examsĀ are five days later and therefore theĀ pleaĀ for urgentĀ listing. āYou come on the last date, what can we do,ā the bench told the lawyer.
