Situation in Shivamogga town in Karnataka has been tense. Several vehicles were set on fire. Stone-pelting cases were reported from many areas as tension spread over the murder of a member of Bajrang Dal, right-wing outfit. 26-year-old Harsha, a Bajrang Dal member, who reportedly worked as a tailor, was stabbed by unidentified persons. Three people have been arrested by the police. The administration has imposed curbs on public gatherings. Schools and colleges will remain shut.
