Kolkata: Influenza vs Adenovirus; Here’s The Difference

Adenovirus is continuing to wreak havoc in West Bengal. In Kolkata, the number of children admitted in Hospitals is on the rise. Dr Arup Halder, a consultant Pulmonologist at a renowned city hospital in Kolkata told PTI that H3N2 is an influenza variant which has been around for a long time. It is less harmful than the H1N1 variant which causes swine flu. Dr Halder says that influenza is easily treatable with paracetamol and having lots of fluids. Antibiotics have no role to play, he says. Watch the video to know more.
