On August 29, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that PM Narendra Modi has decided to slash the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200. Thakur said, “On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Onam, PM Narendra Modi has given a gift to the women of the country by slashing the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200.” Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took a veiled dig at the Modi government alleging that the election gifts started rolling out after fearing a dip in votes.
