Farmers in Madhya Pradesh have reported a huge shortage of fertilisers amid the peak harvesting season. Some angry farmers staged a road blockade in protest. Some farmers even resorted to looting bags of fertilisers after demand exceeded supply at a local market in Morena. As many parts are facing the crunch, Bhind and Morena have been witnessing daily protests by the farmers. In Morena, a stampede-like situation was witnessed outside a cooperative society. Farmers had queued up to get their share of fertilisers. Police resorted to lathicharge to control the angry crowd. Meanwhile, in a video, State Minister of Urban Development and Housing, OPS Bhadoria can be seen getting angry at farmers. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said there is no shortage of manure and fertilisers in the state. Watch the video to know more.
