Maharashtra government to make singing of national anthem compulsory in colleges from February 19. Minister for Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant said a notification for the same will be issued soon. Samant said the national anthem will also be played at functions organised at colleges and universities. Recently, the government made it compulsory for school students to read out the preamble of the Constitution during assembly from January 26.
