Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister on August 25 slammed the Modi government over its National Asset Monetisation Pipeline policy. Banerjee said it is a ploy to sell the assets that belong to the countryĀ and not to Prime MinisterĀ Narendra Modi or the BJP party.Ā Banerjee said theĀ National Asset Monetisation Pipeline is aĀ "shocking and unfortunate decision.ā She alleged that the money raised by selling those assets will be used during elections against opposition parties.Ā The West Bengal Chief MinisterĀ said theĀ entire country will stand together and oppose this "anti-people" decision.Ā Congress leader Sachin PilotĀ also lashed out at the Centre over its asset monetisation programme.
