The three day Mother Mariamman Mela concluded in Punjab’s Jalandhar. an event was organized by the south indian welfare society at Qaji Mandi where hundreds of devotees walked barefoot on hot embers. The burning coals were spread in a pit which was 30-feet long and 3-feet wide. this event is being observed by the tamil community for several years now.
