Southwest Monsoon rains have descended on Maharashtra’s coastal areas in full fury with Mumbai and its suburbs facing the brunt over the past 24 hours. Several areas of Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai woke up to heavy rains, waterlogged roads, and railway stations. A weather advisory for the city is in place as heavy monsoon showers are likely to continue for the next 24-48 hours, as per weather services.
