Nirbhaya Case Convicts Won’t Be Hanged On February 1, 2020 As Court Postpones Execution Till Further Orders

Nirbhaya rape and murder convicts will not be hanged on February 1 as scheduled, ruled a Delhi court on January 31. The court indefinitely postponed the execution of their death warrants after the convicts sought a stay on their hanging. The hanging was scheduled for February 1 at 6 am. No new date for the execution of the four death row inmates has been issued yet.
