Personal Data Protection Bill: Cabinet Gives Nod, To Be Introduced In Parliament Soon

The Union cabinet on December 4th, 2019 gave its approval to the Personal Data Protection Bill. The bill is an attempt to set up a framework for the handling of citizen's personal data in the country. Regulation of this bill might raise technical and policy issues for internet giants like Facebook and Twitter.
