Pfizer Seeks Emergency Use Authorization For Its COVID-19 Vaccine In India; Who Might Get It First?

Pharma giant Pfizer which was the first to announce a COVID-19 vaccine with an efficacy rate of over 94% has reportedly approached the Indian government for an emergency use authorization. The vaccine is being rolled out in the UK and Bahrain from December 6. The Covid-19 vaccine was developed jointly by Pfizer and German biotechnology partner BioNTech. Pfizer is the first to approach India’s Drugs Controller General Of India (DCGI) for emergency use authorisation according to reports.
