Prime Minister Narendra Modi is asking Indians  to shun single-use plastic, and said the use of plastic posed a hazard to the environment and had led to immense impact on the environment -- including killing off livestock and fish being. The Prime Minister was in Mathura to launch the anti-plastic pollution campaign. At the event Modi sat on the floor with rag-pickers and helped them sift through the waste, driving home a powerful message in his mission to end single-use plastic.
