On April 1, Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Chief Minister, moved a resolution in the Assembly, seeking the immediate transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab. This huge step by CM Mann comes two weeks after he took over as Chief Minister of Punjab. This comes amid the ongoing fight between the central government and the state of Punjab to control the Union Territory (Chandigarh) which serves as the capital of Punjab and Haryana.
