On September 23, Charanjit Singh Channi, the new chief minister of Punjab was seen dancing at an event in Kapurthala, Punjab. CM Charanjit Singh Channi dressed in an all-white outfit with a yellow turban was seen breaking into bhangra on stage. The video was shared on the official Twitter handle of the Chief Minister’s Office. Charanjit Singh Channi took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on September 20. He is the first Dalit to hold the top post in the state. The swearing-in ceremony took place two days after Captain Amarinder Singh's resignation This comes just four months ahead of an election in Punjab.
