Rahul Dubey, Indian-American Executive Opens His Doors To Protestors In US, Hailed As National Hero
Rahul Dubey, an Indian-American businessman opened the doors of his house in Washington to over 70 people demonstrating against the custodial killing of George Flyod. Dubey has emerged as a hero after he helped some strangers, fed them and made sure they were safe in his house. Death of 46-year-old African-American Floyd in Minneapolis has led to one of the biggest civic unrest in the history of America. 44-year-old Rahul Dubey who has been living in Washington DC for the last 17 years, accommodated the large number of people in his house. Day after the June 1 protests, Dubey, the owner of the Alvarez Dubey Trading Co., was hailed as a ‘national hero’ as those who took shelter in his house started tweeting about it. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also thanked Dubey for opening his heart & home to the weak & oppressed.
