Rahul Gandhi Moves Adjournment Notice In Lok Sabha Over Farmers’ Issue, Demands Compensation For Farmers Who Died During Anti-Farm Law Protest

INDIA Team Latestly|

On December 7, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi issued an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha. This concerns the issue of compensation to the farmers who allegedly lost their lives during the protest against the three controversial farm laws. These controversial farm laws were repealed by the Modi government on the first day of the winter session of Parliament on November 29. Recently, the central government had told the Parliament that it has no data of farmers who died during the protests & therefore the question of compensation to their families does not arise. Narendra Singh Tomar, Agriculture Minister, also said the government did not have records on the number of police cases lodged against the farmers. Watch the video to know more.
