Ramdas Athawale Takes a Dig at Rahul Gandhi, Leaves Lok Sabha Laughing

Known for his witty remarks, Rajya Sabha MP and Minister of State Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale took a dig at Rahul Gandhi while giving welcome speech after Om Birla took charge as new Lok Sabha Speaker on Wednesday. He said, “I send you (Rahul Gandhi) my greetings that you got the opportunity to sit there (Opposition). When you were in power, I was with you. Prior to the elections, people in Congress were asking me to come to their side. But I saw that wind was blowing in favour of Modi ji.” PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi and even Sonia Gandhi broke out in laughter after his comments.
