As Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer had earlier said, the actor is now gearing up to wage a war against all those who tried to defame her during Sushant Singh Rajput's death investigation. Rhea has written to CBI to take action against her neighbour, Dimple Thawani for all the false & misleading allegations she made against her. Thawani had claimed that Rhea Chakraborty was dropped home by Sushant on June 13th, a day before his death. These allegations were made by her neighbour on Republic TV channel and Rhea insists they are false and that the neighbour has no proof of it. In her letter to the CBI Chakraborty said the neighbour's allegation - "that the late Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my residence in his car on June 13" - was "utterly false". The act of spreading misinformation is punishable under Section 203 and 211 of the Indian Penal Code. Rhea has requested CBI to take cognizance of the same and initiate appropriate action. Chakraborty, who was last week released on bail after spending nearly a month in Mumbai’s Byculla jail, has been vilified by a section of the electronic media. The actor has blamed this for the snowballing of the issue, leading to three central agencies (CBI, ED & NCB) being involved, the arrest of her and her brother Showik Chakraborty, and the harassment of her father by media persons. After the High Court granted her bail, and contradicted the Narcotics Bureau's claim she was "an active member of a drugs syndicate", Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said the actor would fight back against all those who had made fake claims about her.
