Sonu Sood's Mumbai Office, Home 'Searched, Surveyed' By Income Tax Department

On September 15, Sonu Sood’s offices in Mumbai and also a company in Lucknow connected to him were raided by the Income Tax department. And this is not the first time that Sonu Sood is dealing with the Income Tax officials. In 2012, he was among the Bollywood celebrities who were raided over alleged tax evasion, reported NDTV. Politicians from the opposition linked the recent raids to Sonu Sood’s meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, on September 15, the 48-year-old actor tweeted, “I have helped and will continue to do so.” He has been working in the entertainment industry for the past two decades. However, the charity work he did during the Covid-19 pandemic, made him a household name. Rumours have been doing the rounds that Sonu Sood may contest next year's Punjab election as an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate. Kejriwal tweeted, “Sonu Sood has the blessings of lakhs of families, whom he had helped during their difficult times.” Watch the video to know more.
