Sourav Ganguly, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president & former India captain, is currently stable having undergone angioplasty after suffering "chest discomfort" on January 2. On January 3, a bulletin provided by the Woodlands hospital in Kolkata, said that Ganguly "had an uneventful last night". A routine ECG will be done, the bulletin said. The bulletin also said that the treating doctors are keeping a constant vigil on the BCCI chief's health situation & taking appropriate measures. The 48-year-old former Indian captain was taken to Woodlands hospital emergency on January 2 at 1 pm. He was suffering with "chest discomfort, heaviness of head, vomitting and a spell of dizziness while performing physical exercise in the home gymnasium at around 11 am". A coronavirus test was also conducted on Ganguly and he tested negative for it on January 2. Meanwhile, prayers and wishes started pouring in from all corners after news of Sourav Ganguly getting hospitalised broke. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 3 called up former India cricket captain & BCCI president Sourav Ganguly to inquire about his health. Likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane Virender Sehwag & others led a string of good wishes for the former India captain.
