In a shocking incident, a doctor in Gujarat's Surat was attacked and verbally abused by her neighbours. Dr Sanjivani was attacked over fears of spreading coronavirus. Reportedly, she was threatened as they believed that she was infected with coronavirus. They asked her not to return home from the hospital. Dr Sanjivani, works at Surat Civil Hospital, where coronavirus patients are also treated. The police came to the rescue of the doctor and has filed a written complaint. The total number of confirmed cases in India has reached 4421 with 114 deaths being reported.
