Tablighi Jamaat Meet At Nizamuddin Markaz Linked To Multiple COVID 19 Positive Cases Across India

A day after Delhi police evacuated the Markaz Nizamuddin, the headquarters of the Tablighi Jamaat, as residents began to show up sick at hospitals, the annual meet is being linked to multiple COVID-19 cases across India. The states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam have all reported confirmed cases of coronavirus linking back to the Tablighi Jamaat gathering in March. Reports over the past 24 hours suggest that at least 7,600 Indians and 1,306 foreigners with links to the group have been identified so far across 23 Indian states and union territories.
