UP Polls 2022 Phase 5 Voting, Counting Of Votes On March 10

On February 27, 61 constituencies spread across 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh voted in the fifth phase of elections in the state. Uttar Pradesh witnessed a voter turnout of 54 per cent till 5 pm, reported NDTV. In 2017, the voter turnout recorded was 4.5 per cent less than 2022. In UP, BJP and allies hold dominant influence over the central and Awadh region seats that voted on February 27. Districts which voted on February 27 included Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, , Prayagraj, Barabanki, Kaushambi, Bahraich, Gonda & Shravasti. In 2017, BJP & its allies won 50 of the 61 seats. Voting in Uttar Pradesh will take place in seven phases. Counting of votes will take place on March 10. Watch the video to know more.
