US To Send Troops To Europe As Russia-Ukraine Tensions Continue To Simmer

The United States will be sending close to 3,000 extra troops to Poland, Germany and Romania, the Pentagon announced on February 2. This decision was formally approved by US President Joe Biden, reported CNN. This move is to boost NATO countries in Eastern Europe with thousands of Russian troops amassed along the Ukraine’s border. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the moves, which would happen in the coming days, were not permanent. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “Any further incursion into Ukrainian territory would be a tragic miscalculation.” Watch the video to know more.
