Uttarkashi Helicopter Crash: Private Company’s Chopper Crashes Near Uttarakhand’s Gangnani, 5 Dead

In a tragic incident, five people were killed after a helicopter crashed near Gangnani in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Thursday, May 08. Two people also injured in the mishap which occurred on the Rishikesh-Gangotri National Highway around 8 AM. There were seven people onboard the helicopter, including passengers Vinit Gupta, Arvind Agarwal, Vipin Agarwal, Pinki Agarwal, Rashmi and Kishore Jadhav, and pilot captain Robin Singh. The helicopter crashed on the Rishikesh-Gangotri National Highway and fell into a gorge about 200-250 metres deep. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will probe the incident to ascertain the cause of the crash.
