World AIDS day is observed on December 1 annually. This day was first observed on December 1, 1988 to raise greater awareness at the time, to the global epidemic of AIDS and the spread of HIV. This year’s theme is “End inequalities. End AIDS”. AIDS can be contracted if needles, blades, knives among other things are shared with an infected person. It can also be contracted due to unprotected sex with a person who is infected. AIDS is not entirely curable. Watch the video to know more.
