Islamabad, November 23: At least 30 people were killed and about 40 injured in a suicide blast in Pakistan's a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The blast took place in Orakzai district on Friday around noon.

According to media reports, the blast took place outside a religious seminary.

Those injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. The entire area was cordoned off following the blast and investigations into the incident have began.

This is the second blast in Pakistan today. Earlier in the morning, at least two policemen were killed and one other got injured in an explosion and firing that  took place outside the Chinese Consulate in Karachi’s Clifton Block 4. The incident at the Clifton Block 4 reportedly took place at around 9.30 am. Geo TV quoted sources saying that three to four men fired upon after being stopped by the security guards trying to enter the Chinese consulate.
