US President Donald Trump today arrived at Singapore's Paya Lebar Air Base ahead of his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un scheduled on June 12. The historic meet will be under tremendous media and public focus considering that US President Trump had said that denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula will be his top priority and that the meet would only be successful if North Korea leader Kim Jong-un agrees to it.

US President Donald Trump had tweeted before leaving for Singapore saying that "I am on my way to Singapore where we have a chance to achieve a truly wonderful result for North Korea and the World. It will certainly be an exciting day and I know that Kim Jong-un will work very hard to do something that has rarely been done before."

Earlier, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reached Singapore and met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Sunday ahead of the historic summit with US President Donald Trump. President Trump was in Quebec city in Canada for the G7 summit and has reached Singapore now for the meeting with the North Korean leader scheduled on June 12.
