New Delhi, August 28: Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi on Wednesday, August 28, said that he would be at Mazar-e-Quaid, resting place of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, at 12 noon on Friday. Afridi, who has been supporting Imran Khan on Kashmir issue, said that he will also visit the Line of Control (LoC) soon. "Let’s respond to PM call for Kashmir Hour as a nation. I will be at Mazar e Quaid at 12 pm on Friday. Join me to express solidarity with our Kashmiri brethren. Afridi had earlier called intervention of the United Nations (UN) and the United States after Narendra Modi-led government abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

"Kashmiris must be given their due rights as per UN resolution. The rights of Freedom like all of us. Why was UN created and why is it sleeping? The unprovoked aggression and crimes being committed in Kashmir against humanity must be noted. US President Donald Trump must play his role to mediate," Afridi had tweeted earlier.

Earlier, former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad said that he would visit LoC with other sportspersons. He said that they will hoist a flag for peace at the Line of Control.
